Film producer David Kazadi's highly anticipated court appearance in Lusaka ended without a plea being entered after the magistrate assigned to the matter reportedly fell ill.

Kazadi, 34, appeared before the Lusaka Magistrates' Court on allegations of producing and possessing obscene materials. However, proceedings could not move forward because the magistrate handling the case was unavailable.

The filmmaker is being represented by lawyer Simon Mwila.

His co-accused, 23-year-old model Mwaka Halwindi and Ruby Muzandu, also 23, were not present in court.

According to the allegations before the court, Muzandu is accused of circulating alleged pornographic videos through a WhatsApp group called "Trip to South Africa." She is also alleged to have been found in possession of the same material.

Meanwhile, Kazadi is facing charges linked to the production and possession of the alleged obscene content.

With no plea taken on Wednesday, the matter has now been adjourned to next week for mention and a possible plea.

The case is expected to return before the Lusaka Magistrates' Court on Wednesday as all eyes remain on the developments surrounding the trio.
